How Vancouver is preparing for winter this year
The City of Vancouver shares how they are preparing for winter and unveil some of the new equipment we can expect out on the roads this snow season.
Winter is around the corner, and while the forecast calls for a mainly 'dry pattern' across the southern coast of B.C., there is also the potential for a break down in the pattern -- which could bring the potential of several weeks' worth of precipitation in just 5 to 10 days, according to meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham.
Most of the snow is expected across the north coast region, however, we all know how just a few flakes can disrupt traffic across Vancouver when the time does come.
To help ease travel headaches, the City of Vancouver has unveiled some of their new equipment that could help make roads a little more safter this upcoming winter. Check them out in the video above.
